- Dunoo but it would be kwl if u could! I want a pig in the garden but not sure how the dog would react lol
- Have you read in the deeds of your house? Also if you did get them you would have to tell you neighbours and ask them if its ok for you to have them in your garden. I just got 3 chickens a few weeks ago.
- Officially I don't think you can, but I don't think they are going to actually police that rule. Chicken patrol??? Not likely!
- It depends where you live. Here in Norwich you can and a lot of people do
- ask council, mostly no as they cause rats
- Depends on your tenancy agreement, but it tends to be a no, which I think is a shame.
- I think you'll find anyone can keep chickens, but some councils may object because their food can attract vermin. The best thing to do is ring your council and ask them.
- i would say yes. but dont get a cockerel because it will wake everybody up at dawn and you will get complaints.
- Best answer is check with the council, they may have an e-mail address or help line. I would expect that different councils may have different rules! Personally as long as they don't bother the neighbours and you keep the area they live in CLEAN & TIDY and they are properly fed and cared for then they be OK but not sure!
- Ask the council. Think of your neighbours too, bet they'd have something to say about likely noise, smell and rats.
- you can have cats, dogs, birds and small pets without asking council. But any other pets you need to ask them
- hiya, the council will not allow it.
- Your problem unfortunately is that you occupy a council house. Private householders can put up buildings (subject to position and size) specifically for keeping pets or livestock for their own use or enjoyment. That is enshrined in planning law. However, this does not over ride the conditions of tenancy which bind you when you rent. The simple answer is to ask your housing office what their particular rules are. Some housing departments are more flexible than others and they may give you permission. Good luck.
